Network

We are a ‘networked Church,’ drawing strength, common purpose, and direction through our diocesan, church-wide, and global connections.

The Diocese of Olympia is made up of more than 26,000 Episcopalians in more than 100 worshiping communities through Western Washington.

Episcopal Diocese of Olympia
Safe Church

The Diocese of Olympia takes its responsibility for the safety of our people seriously. The Safe Church, Safe Communities program teaches how to identify and prevent abuse within the church community.

The Episcopal Church

The Anglican Communion is a family of 42 autonomous and independent-yet-interdependent national, pan-national and regional churches in communion with the see of Canterbury. These webpages showcase something of the work of the member Churches, official networks and commissions, and the Anglican Communion Office, the global secretariat for the Anglican Communion and its four Instruments of Communion.

Ecumenical

A Christian community or movement that seeks to promote unity and cooperation among different Christian denominations. The ecumenical movement emphasizes common beliefs and practices across various traditions, such as Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox, while respecting their distinct identities. The goal is to foster dialogue, understanding, and collaboration in areas of shared concern, such as social justice, worship, and mission work, rather than focusing on doctrinal differences.

Interfaith

Interfaith dialogue or cooperation between churches refers to interactions and collaboration between Christian denominations and other religious traditions (such as Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) to promote mutual understanding, respect, and common goals. Unlike ecumenism, which focuses on unity within Christianity, interfaith initiatives aim to bridge gaps between different world religions, emphasizing shared values like peace, social justice, and humanitarian efforts.
