Ministry Survey Update – by Pam Tinsley, Deacon

We are grateful to those who responded to the Time and Talent Stewardship survey! A total of 35 individuals esponded, including at least a half dozen new parishioners. Some people who are already engaged in multiple ministries expressed interest in new ministries. And several have decided that it’s time to step down from ministries they’ve served in for so long. Now that Fr. Tom has joined us to guide us through this period of transition, we’re eager to revitalize the ministries that the pandemic has affected – whether for worship or fellowship, on Sunday or during the week.

The responses have been compiled and shared with ministry leaders. Thankfully, some ministries have remained quite active, despite the pandemic, while others are re-engaging and/or being reshaped in response to the need for less in-person interaction.

Unfortunately, several of our key ministries are struggling, including altar guild; our new audio-visual team; buildings and grounds; care team; nursery; and web presence. Your vestry is discussing ways of re-envisioning several of them. If you feel called to support any of these ministries, please do reach out to a vestry member!

And, although the formal survey has been closed, if you would like to serve a ministry at St. Andrew’s, please contact me at pbtinsley@icloud.com and I will get you connected.

Again, thank you for your responses to the survey! The responses are yet another sign of the gracious generosity of our congregation – and, as our Food Bank trunk reads: Many hands make light work!
