Worship Survey Results – by Rev. Tom

Thanks again to those of you who took the time to complete our recent survey. We heard Fr Tomback from 77 people in a week! The survey is now closed but you are free to email or call me or a member of our vestry if you have any thoughts you would like to share. In the meantime, we are making a few adjustments:

  • Proper mask wearing is required unless reading. KN95 or N95 masks offer the best protection. Distancing is recommended but not required. There will be an area set aside for those who wish to continue distancing. Please respect this space.
  • At Communion: We will resume serving the Common Cup. No self-intinction. We will use the side aisles to approach the altar and return to the pews down the center aisle.
  • We will resume coffee hour outside at both the 8 and 10 services.

We will continue to monitor and evaluate our safety measures and appreciate your continued understanding and support.

Here are a few pearls we have gleaned from the survey:

  • 75% of respondents are attending in-person regularly
  • 75% of respondents are utilizing our streaming services
  • 50% of respondents feel our current safety measures are ‘about right’
  • 37% of respondents feel our current safety measures ‘should be relaxed’
  • 5 people felt we should end all safety measures
  • 3 people felt we should strengthen our current safety measures
  • 51% of respondents reported they would definitely continue to mask if given an option
  • 33% of respondents reported they would probably or ‘depending upon’ continue to mask if given an option
  • 94% of respondents reported they would continue to mask out of concern for others
  • 80% of respondents reported they had varying levels of concern for transmission of the BA.2 variant
  • 44% of respondents said they would receive the Common Cup if offered
  • 99% of respondents reported being fully vaccinated and boosted!

Our Health Safety committee met and reviewed the results and will report back to the vestry at our April 19th meeting. More details will be shared with the parish at that point.

Easter Blessings, Tom+
